Polyamide 6 (Nylon) yarn
Polyamide (nylon) is the first synthetic fibers produced in massive form and the only fiber that was released before World War II .
The development of this fibre back to 1928, when Wallace Carothers began his research at Dupont .
The first example of nylon 6,6 was produced using diamines on February 28, 1935, by Wallace Hume Carothers at DuPont .
A year later, the first polyamide fiber production plant was built and in October .
1939, the first polyamide socks were sold in market
During World War II, almost all nylon production was diverted to
the military for use in parachutes and parachute cord , but in 1946
the use of these fibers in household appliances also began
Filament Manufacturing
Nylon 6 Partially Oriented Yarn, commonly known as Nylon 6 POY is the primary form of Nylon 6 yarn. It is also known as Nylon Pre-Oriented Yarn. It is the first form of yarn made directly by spinning Nylon Chips. Nylon 6 POY is mainly used for manufacturing textured yarn. Nylon 6 POY can be available in three lusters: Dull, Semi Dull & Bright. Dope Dyed technology is used for making of colored POY
Dope-dyed Nylon 6 yarns are available in the following shades and deniers. Custom-made yarn is possible with the coordination of the production sector
Texturizing
Drawn Textured Yarn (DTY) yarn is obtained when POY is simultaneously twisted & drawn. DTY yarn is mainly used in weaving & knitting of fabrics for making clothes, home furnishings, seat covers, bag and many other uses. DTY yarn can be in Dull, Semi Dull or Bright.
Nylon 6 DTY yarn can also be obtained in various colors by the dope dyed technology or by conventional dyeing. Dope-dyed and package-dyed Nylon 6 yarns are available in the following shades and deniers. Custom-made yarn is possible with the coordination of the production sector.
Nylon 6 Yarn applications
Nylon 6 yarns are often used in the production of all types of garments , socks and etc.
The remarkable rubbing fastness of polyamide yarns have made these fibers the good choice for work wear, military clothing and sportswear.
Nylon melange yarn
Melange yarn is a blend of different colored fibers to develop various shades in the yarn. Different in ratio of fibers in the blend alters the uniqueness of final melange yarn.
